Con i 427 all'ora raggiunti da Pierre Henri Raphanel (pilota ufficiale della Casa Molsheim) dopo il "giro di boa", il record è stato così fissato a 431 km/h. Soli 30 esemplari. Come sempre esclusiva non solo nelle prestazioni ma anche nel prezzo, la Bugatti Veyron Super Sport sarà in vendita, in soli 30 esemplari, al prezzo di 1.434.000 euro (tasse escluse). Oltre agli interventi sul motore, che hanno consentito di incrementarne la potenza, questa versione dispone di un doppia frizione a 7 rapporti e di un sistema di trazione integrale - rivisto nel software - in grado si sopportare fino a 1,4 G di tenuta laterale.
