Completed Jet Black 007 Cooper w.Lasers

A couple weeks back I posted news that I've been working on a laser mod for my cooper. A lot of people said they didn't agree with the mod because they thought it was too dangerous, and I also got defensive against Old Rick and I apologize, I took his comments too personal, I understand all of your concerns.

So, I hereby vow to use my lasers strictly for good and not evil, and hope you all can just trust me on that front. Nonetheless, I really want to share the results with this particular...

Anyone ever tried 110 octane race gas in your R56?

I was up in the Dragon area last weekend. There is a relatively new Chevron gas station in the town of Robbinsville, which is not too far from the Dragon. I saw a pump labeled "110 octane race fuel" at this station. I was not sure whether it was leaded or unleaded gas. The pump did not say anything about that. Besides, it was $8 per gallon!!! Anyone ever tried this race fuel from this station? How did your R56 run on it?

Speeding ticket and my insurance got lower??

I have had my MINI since last Nov. also the beginning of my insurance coverage. Right around Feb. 08 I got a speeding ticket on a state highway by a state trooper at 75 on 55. (Was still excited about the car) The ticket he gave me indicated I was clocked and also he only charged me $100 when I should be charged $200. I tried to appeal it at the court but couldn't and was told to pay the fine of $100 and it will go on my insurance. My new insurance term is rolling around and my insurance is...

Mini is on da boat!

My 09 Astro black MCS is currently on the boat and is scheduled to be in PORT HUENEME, CA on December 1st. Then needs to be delivered to Portland OR. I'm hoping it will arrive in the 1st week of Dec.

I placed my order the 2nd week in Oct so it would be 7-8 weeks total wait (if I'm lucky). Not bad. When I ordered the dealer said it would arrive in the first half of Jan 09.

Looks like I'll be getting my X-mas gift early!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hollies for the winter, and beyond?

I have traded my 17" s-heavies with Avon tech 550 tires for my sister's 15" hollies with nearly bald and cracked stock contis.

Anyway, I put my set of Nokian WRg2's on them. I forgot how good these 15" rims are, I've had them on before. There's, erm, a shot of them in my gallery...

They are so light. I'm really enjoying them, also glad I got my hands on a set - it seems they are getting rare.

Come next spring, I might take my Nokian V's off my steel rims and put them on these. The...

My mini runs better after unhooking battery!

This weekend I pulled my '05 Cooper S out of the garage to work on my KTM. I rolled down the windows , opened the roof and boot lid and cranked up the music for about 4 hours while I worked on the bike. I guess I turned the key on one to many clicks, the lights were on and it ran my battery down. I took the battery out and put it on the charger for a few hours, till the window turned green telling me that it had a full charge. I put the battery back in, went for a drive and immediately noticed...
