Sooooo first day of classes. I just had my 8:30 AM Calculus class. It wasn't too bad. My prof seems really nice. She's a youngerish french woman with a nice voice, but she talks pretty quietly. Traffic today was a bitch - well that was an understatement - so I was a bit late to class and ended up sitting at the back. They say life is about learning lessons, right? Well today so far I've learned maybe 3 or 4 and it's not even noon! What a day!
1) Come earlier to calc so I can get a seat at the front. Not only does she talk quietly, but her writing is kind of small. Yeah, frontish it shall be!
2) That cars blow up, catch fire, and hit other cars and this is a reason why I might not get the spot at the front that I want! My 20 min max drive took about 45 minutes. I took my sis to school first though... All those smokers/druggies outside on the sidewalk were gawking at my MINI. Hahaha. And she was kinda dirty too!! :O
3) Bring a magazine, books, or some kind of reading material. Either that, or I will be wasting my hour and a half by blogging/visiting MINI forums, or just googling random things. Mmm, I smell coffeeeeee!
4) Resist the temptation of Tim Horton's/random baked goods and coffee assortments. If I add up how much I spent on Timmies "once in a while" in the summer term, I would be shocked. I plan on getting my winter tires soon, going shopping in NYC, and doing some interior work on Stella. Plus, getting myself a classic Mini if the chance comes around!
Ok, look forward to more frequent posts since I have too much time to kill!
EDIT @ 4:30pm
Wow what a day! I've met SO many people! At the end of calc, Jason and I had a lil reunion and we found out that we have ALL of our classes together this term! Hello, awesome! I'm excited about having a study-buddy that I get a long well with in all my classes.
In between calc and stats, I went to DP (Dana Porter - library) to just chill and ended up getting a coffee. I forgot to pick up a newspaper so I was just kinda sitting there and I started talking to this girl there. Turns out she's from Toronto and graduated from Seneca@York. We had a lot to talk about as we both notice big difference between the two schools and the cities they are in. I gave her my MSN and I hope she adds me because she was really nice. This conversation prepped me for being talkative with random people, hence the chance meeting with the next newbie to my life... I was waiting for stats to start and I got there early (since I was late for calc, I didn't want that to happen again) and sat down on a bench that was half-occupied by someone else. We started talking and he's nice too. Suprising for some reason. When I look out to the sea of people walking past, it feels so intimidating. It's nice to know that MOST people are relatively friendly and easy to start up a conversation with. Or maybe it's just a first-week-of-school thing.
Anyways, what a long post! I have to jet to work. 5-9. I'm not sure if I'm in computers or mobile audio... Hopefully computers again! Bysie byes!!
